Washing Machine EMI Calculator
The front-load versus top-load decision sets the price band before any financing question arises, and the gap between them is often larger than the interest on either. Enter the price, your upfront payment and the offer rate to see the instalment.
Starting value is an example, not a quoted price. Enter the price you are offered.
Deducted from the price before financing, like a down payment.
Washing machine offers are usually 6 to 12 month no-cost or low-rate EMI.
Charged upfront by the bank or lender, not part of the EMI.

- What it is:
- An EMI calculator for washing machines.
- What it calculates:
- The monthly instalment and the total cost across short appliance tenures.
Assumptions
- Appliance finance is usually 6 to 12 months.
- Installation and fitting may be charged by the technician.
- Processing fees are not refunded if you foreclose.
How it works
Front-load machines cost more upfront than comparable top-loaders but use less water and detergent per cycle. As with air conditioners, the running cost can close the gap over the life of the machine, so the larger EMI is not automatically the worse deal.
Installation is light but not always free. Inlet and outlet fitting, and a trolley or stand where the floor is uneven, may be charged by the technician on the day. None of it is financed.
Appliance finance is short by design: 6, 9 or 12 months, often at 0% with a processing fee of a few hundred rupees. That fee is the entire cost of a genuine no-cost offer, and it is charged whether or not you keep the plan to term.
Exchange offers apply here too, though older washing machines fetch modest values. Anything allowed is deducted before financing.
The front-load and top-load decision is worth settling before the financing one. A front-loader washes more gently, uses noticeably less water and detergent, and takes longer per cycle; a top-loader is cheaper, faster, easier to load without bending, and can usually be paused mid-cycle to add a forgotten item. Semi-automatic machines sit below both on price and require you to move the load to a separate spin tub.
Capacity is quoted in kilograms of dry laundry, not of the machine. Around 6 to 6.5 kg suits one or two people, 7 to 8 kg a family of four, and 9 kg and above a larger household or anyone washing bedding regularly. Undersizing means running two loads where one would do, which undoes any saving on the purchase price.
Formula
Financed amount = price - down payment - exchange value; EMI = P x r x (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n - 1)
- P
- = financed amount
- r
- = monthly interest rate = annual rate / 12 / 100
- n
- = tenure in months
Appliance tenures are short - usually 6 to 12 months. Installation and fitting charges are paid to the technician and sit outside the EMI.
