Bike Loan EMI Calculator

Two-wheeler loans are small and short, which makes the tenure choice matter more than it looks. Enter the bike price, your down payment and the rate to see the EMI and the total interest across common tenures.

A ₹1,50,000 purchase with ₹30,000 down finances ₹1,20,000, which at 12% over 3 years works out to an EMI of ₹3,986.

Paid upfront, so it is not financed.

What it is:
A two-wheeler loan EMI calculator.
What it calculates:
The loan after down payment, the EMI, and the interest cost across tenures.

Assumptions

  • On-road price includes registration and insurance where financed.
  • Two-wheeler rates run higher than car loan rates.
  • The rate is fixed for the tenure.

How it works

Loan amount = on-road price minus down payment. Dealers often quote a low EMI by stretching the tenure to four or five years on a vehicle that costs under a lakh.

Two-wheeler rates are typically higher than car loan rates because the ticket size is small and the asset depreciates quickly.

Formula

Loan amount = on-road price - down payment, then the standard EMI formula

on-road price
= price including registration and insurance
down payment
= what you pay upfront at the dealership

Frequently asked questions

How much down payment is needed for a bike loan?
Usually 10% to 20% of the on-road price, though zero-down-payment schemes exist for buyers with a strong credit profile.
What tenure should I pick for a two-wheeler?
Two to three years keeps the interest sensible. Stretching a small loan to five years adds a surprising amount of interest for a very small EMI saving.
Is insurance included in the loan?
Sometimes. Some lenders finance the on-road price including insurance; others fund ex-showroom only. Check what your quote covers.
